Planning to attend Evergreen for the 2008-2009 Academic Year? Apply for financial aid now. Our priority filing date was March 15, but we accept financial aid applications on a continuing basis.

As the first step in determining your eligibility, Evergreen must get information about the resources you have to meet your educational objectives. File a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) at the FAFSA website now. The information you provide there will help us to help you. Enter our school code number, 008155, on the FAFSA to indicate your willingness to make the information available to Evergreen. It will be sent to us electronically.

The next step will be for you to read and sign the Financial Aid Data Sheet, which explains the financial aid policies and processes at Evergreen. Please read it carefully. Sign and submit it so we know that you understand and agree. Please tell us if we can clarify or expand on the information it contains.

The academic year at Evergreen begins with the fall quarter and can include the following summer term. In oher words, if you enroll Summer Quarter 2009, the information we need to determine your aid eligibility will be from the 2008-2009 FAFSA.

Each year, you must sign a new Data Sheet and file a new FAFSA, available January 1st.

What kind of financial aid can help me at Evergreen?

Depending on your financial need and the availability of funds, your offers might include:

Gift Aid, such as grants and waivers (which do not need to be repaid).
Employment, including work-study programs, involving work opportunities on campus and in the community. The money will be disbursed via your paycheck (and does not require repayment).
Loans (which require the borrower to repay the amount borrowed plus any interest accrued).
Scholarships awarded on a competitive basis.
