Winter Weather for Western Washington!
During the last few weeks of December, a massive cold front that is usually kept safely above the border between Washington and British Columbia suddenly and dramatically lurched south to deliver an extended period of freezing temperatures and inclement weather to the northwestern United States. Most unusual were the heavy snowfalls in western Washington and northern Oregon particularly around the Puget Sound, Grays Harbor, and Columbia River regions. Current forecast models do not predict freezing temperatures to return to Puget Sound during Week 1. However, the weather forecasts for the following weeks are as of yet unknown. Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the QuaSR Center is business as usual as we prepare for a quarter ripe with uncertainty and anticipation toward the next winter storm.

What to Expect
When you come into the Centers for Active Student Learning, you'll find Evergreen students who provide tutoring support in math, biology, chemistry, physics, economics, statistics, and nearly everything else scientific or mathematical. During the school year, drop-in tutoring is available seven days a week.
Many of the students who use the QuaSR Center like to sit and do their homework and get occasional help when they need it; other students want more individual help and some like to work in small groups. We're committed to making a supportive space for math and science students at Evergreen.
The Centers for Active Student Learning are located in Library 2304. Drop on by!
